TI launched the industry's first precision nanoscale power operational amplifier
The new nano power operational amplifier can prolong the life of battery and sensor to the maximum limit
In November 14, 2016, Beijing News - TI (TI) recently launched the industry's first precision nano power operational amplifier (OP AMP). The static current of LPV811 and LPV812 is as low as 320 nA, which is part of the new series of four new ultra low power operational amplifiers. The power consumption of the new series of operational amplifiers is 60% lower than that of the same precision operational amplifiers, and the offset voltage is as low as 300 V. It can extend the life of batteries and sensors, and is suitable for building automation, wired and wireless sensor nodes and wearable devices. The main features and advantages of the LPV811 series:
Low power consumption: industry-leading quiescent current, no need to use cyclic duty. These nano power operational amplifiers can achieve higher efficiency 4-20mA loop system, extend battery life and reduce battery replacement cost.
High accuracy: LPV811 and LPV812 have the high-accuracy offset voltage and nanoscale power current as low as 300 V, which helps to detect low concentration ambient gases and increase the life and sensitivity of double electrode electrochemical sensors.
Low voltage operation: under the condition of single supply voltage as low as 1.6V, General Purpose Operational Amplifiers LPV801 and LPV802, and Precision Operational Amplifiers LPV811 and LPV812 can maintain continuous performance under low voltage battery conditions.
Anti electromagnetic interference (EMI) is strong: the input rejection ratio of frequency range from 500 MHz to 1 GHz is greater than 80dB, which reduces the demand for external filter elements, saves design time for EMI sensitive applications, and enables rapid system certification according to ISO.
In addition, the LPV811 series amplifier can drive the ADS7042 SAR analog to digital converter to help realize the ultra low power analog front end.
The tools and support needed to start the design immediately
Battery life of more than 10 years of low power consumption of the carbon monoxide sensor reference design shows LPV811 nano power amplifier and the CC2650 SimpleLink multi standard wireless micro controller (MCU) to reduce the power consumption, the carbon monoxide detector of battery life extended to 10 years, and the sensing range of 1000 ppm. Designers can also use a complete set of online support resources, including a complete TI Designs and SPICE model.
