Analyst: Apple will launch three iPhones in 2020, and two will support 5G.
Guo Mingpi, an analyst at Tianfeng International, released the latest forecast that Apple will launch three iPhones in 2020, all with OLED screens, and two of them support 5G networks.
The report predicts that by 2020, the product line will include high-end 6.7-inch and 5.4-inch OLED iPhones, and low-end 6.1-inch OLED iPhones; 6.7-inch and 5.4-inch OLED iPhones will support 5G. Moreover, the report expects that the iPhone in 2021 will be fully 5G-enabled.
The report also predicts that 5G iPhones will account for about 60% of total iPhone shipments in 2020 (market consensus is 20%). Apple will launch its own 5G baseband chip in 2022 or 2023. Before that, Apple will adopt Qualcomm's 5G baseband chip, but not RF360, but its own PA/RF design. I believe that Apple is preparing to adopt its own 5G baseband chip in the future.
